At last somebody teaching people to do the “Linangkit”, I am so glad and proud to see the Dusun tradition isn’t dying after all. I so wish I had been taught this when I was a young girl in Tuaran. I remember my mother used to do this as well. But I have spent so many years away from home, and have not had the opportunity to learn. I have shown examples of the “Linangkit” to people I meet in the UK, especially my family here, and they all agree the work is very difficult to do but very beautiful if done right.
When I return to Sabah, later this year I would like to learn how to do this beautiful work, so would be grateful if someone could contact me via email with further contact details.
